Labour and residency notices explained (MOHRE, Qiwa, Absher)
ARThese are official messages about your work permit, contract or residency, sent by SMS, email or app. They usually have a transaction number and sometimes a deadline. Check the details in the official app before you act.
What it is
Labour ministries and their platforms send notices when something changes in your file: a new contract, a renewal, a cancellation request or a complaint.
Residency platforms send notices about your iqama, visa or exit and re-entry.
Why you might get it
- Your employer submitted a request about your contract or permit.
- Your residency or permit is expiring.
- A complaint or case was opened.
What to check
- 1The transaction or reference number.
- 2What the request is (new, renewal, cancellation, transfer).
- 3Any deadline to respond or confirm.
- 4Any amount listed, such as final dues.
What to do
- Open the official app or website and find the same transaction number.
- If you disagree with something, contact the labour ministry before the deadline.
- Keep screenshots of the notice and the app.
Watch out: Official notices never ask you to pay through a personal link or share a one-time password.
Questions
Many real notices have no link. Check the transaction number in the official app instead of replying to the SMS.
