In short
- Your photos and PDFs are deleted automatically within 24 hours.
- Before we save an explanation, we remove names, ID numbers, passport numbers and phone numbers from what we keep.
- We never sell your data and never use your documents to train AI.
- No person reads your document unless you ask for human help.
- You can delete your explanations and your account at any time.
1.Who we are
GulfExplain is a service of Nexlr Private Limited, a company registered in India ("we", "us"). We are responsible for your personal data under this policy.

2.What we collect
Documents you upload (photos or PDFs), the country and language you choose, and any question you type.
The explanation we create, with personal identifiers removed: names of people, Emirates ID, iqama, QID and civil ID numbers, passport numbers, phone numbers and email addresses.
Technical data needed to run the service: a random browser identifier stored in a cookie, your language and country choice, and basic logs (time, outcome, errors). Logs never contain the content of your documents.
If you create an account: your phone number or email. If you pay: payment confirmations from our payment providers. We never see or store your card details.
3.How we use it
To read your document and write an explanation in your language. This is the only reason we process your documents.
To show you your past explanations, send results you ask for, process payments and prevent abuse.
If you tap "No" on "Was this helpful?", we may review that explanation (never the original photo) to improve accuracy.
4.Who processes your data for us
Google (Gemini API and Google Cloud) reads your document to produce the explanation and hosts our service. We use paid services whose terms do not allow your data to be used to train their models.
Payment providers process payments. Other service providers may host or secure our systems. Each is bound by contract to use your data only to provide their service to us.
We do not share your documents with your employer, sponsor, landlord or any government body, unless the law requires it.
5.How long we keep it
Uploaded photos and PDFs: deleted within 24 hours. Documents attached to a human-help request: kept until the request is closed, then deleted.
Explanations (without personal identifiers): kept until you delete them or your account.
Payment records: kept as long as tax and accounting law requires.
6.Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time. Email privacy@gulfexplain.com and we will reply within 30 days.
You may also complain to the data-protection authority where you live.
7.Cookies
We use only the cookies the service needs: your language, your country, and a random identifier so you can see your own explanations. We do not use advertising cookies.
8.Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you on the website before the change takes effect.
